New Youth Rugby Sponsor

The club is delighted to have secured one of Northern Ireland’s premier development company's Jermon Developments, as official sponsor for Youth Rugby. The sponsorship deal, which incorporates financial support and kit sponsorship, will run for three years.

Gary Leslie, Club President welcomed Jermon Developments as sponsor of the club. In light of the developments at representative and professional level it is vital that the club identify and develop our own future stars at senior level. The youth structure in the club also provides an environment to encourage young players from every background giving them the opportunity to play at youth level and progress to play club rugby.

The sponsorship underpins the club’s ability to provide this level of community and youth sport and consolidate our youth policy. Jermon Developments sponsorship enables the club to employ Youth Development Officers who will have the overall responsibility for youth rugby within the club. Their objectives include the implementation of a three year plan to strengthen under age rugby within the club.

Andy Hughes has been appointed to look after the younger teams and schools, while Jamie Turkington will manage development of the Under 20 team.

Chris Morgan, Jermon’s General Manager, presented the club with new jerseys for all levels of youth rugby commented,
" We are delighted to support this level of rugby, we look upon it as support for a healthy activity for young people from all sides of our community which builds friendships, character and good citizenship. I would like to congratulate the Under 20 team on their performance this season and I hope that their unbeaten run will continue."

Jeremy Davidson, Director of Rugby already has a hands on responsibility for the Under 20 team, which is the pathway to senior club rugby. The club is also delighted that Justin Fitzpatrick and Kieran Campbell, Ulster and Irish stars, have volunteered to assist with coaching at under 20 level.
